Top 9 Animated love stories of all time

This post is all about love stories…animated love stories. Although i am not a kid anymore, i love animated films because of the humor and graphics in the movie. Now days animated movies have bigger market than the main stream movies. So here are my top 9 favorite animated movies.

9. Jake’s avatar and Neytiri – Avatar (2009)

Although this is not a complete animated movie, it made to my list as all the scenes in Pandora are animated. Avatar is primarily an action-adventure journey of self-discovery, in the context of imperialism and deep ecology. The love story between Jake’s avatar and Neytiri is a memorable one. Both couples come from radically different cultures that are contemptuous of their relationship and are forced to choose sides between the competing communities.

8. Ken and Barbie – Toy Story 3 (2010)

Without a doubt, this is this most iconic animated movie ever made. It was this movie that put Pixar on the map when it earned the title of the “world’s first full length fully computer animated feature film.” Although the love story between Ken and Barbie is not much longer in the movie, it is the offline gossips and media that made their presence more spicy.

7. Beast and Belle – Beauty & The Beast (1991)

The story centers on a prince who is transformed into a Beast and a young woman named Belle whom he imprisons in his castle. To become a prince again, the Beast must love Belle and win her love in return. This was Disney’s big move to computer generated graphics.

6. Cinderella and Prince CharmingCinderella (1950)

This is a classic movie based on the story we all have heard of. A rags-to-riches tale comes true with the touch of a wand. Poor Cinderella spends her days at the beck and call of her evil stepmother and stepsisters Drizella and Anastasia. Everything changes once her Fairy Godmother arrives. Just a dose of her magic turns this maiden’s dreams into reality when a pumpkin-turned-coach carries her all the way to a royal ball … and into the arms of Prince Charming. However, at the stroke of midnight Cinderella’s ball gown returns to rags, leaving her no choice but to run away. The only thing left of her enchanted evening is a single glass slipper. With clue in hand, prince finds his way to Cinderella.

5. Gnomeo and Juliet – Gnomeo and Juliet (2011)
The original “Romeo and Juliet” was penned by William Shakespeare in the late 1500s. The greatest love story ever told, starring…garden gnomes? Shakespeare’s revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. The movie ends happily with the two of them getting married on a purple lawnmower.

4. Manny and Ellie – Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006)

Manny met Ellie when he was afraid that he truly was the last mammoth. He was overjoyed after he found another of his kind. This whole thing turns into a surprise when Manny finds that Ellie believed that she was an opossum. In the final scene, a herd of mammoths shows up, but Manny and Ellie decide to remain together anyway, taking Sid, Diego, and the opossum brothers along.

3. Shrek and Fiona – Shrek (2001)

This animated love story has adult humor. Lord Farquaad sends the ogre, Shrek, to retrieve Princess Fiona to be the Lord’s bride. When she first appears, she is angered to learn that her rescuer is not her Prince Charming, but an ogre, and that the man who wants to marry her would not come himself. At first, she refuses to travel to Farquaad, but eventually befriends Donkey and develops a bond with Shrek, since they both realize they are more similar than they first thought, and Fiona begins to doubt that Lord Farquaad is her true love. Her Dragon guardian later falls in love with Donkey. Throughout the film, the audience discovers that she is cursed and, while she is a human by day, she becomes an ogress at sunset.

2. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider – Tangled (2010)
Rapunzel is kept in a tower, having no contact with the outside world, which Gothel, who she thinks is her mother, convinces her is a dangerous place she must avoid. But Rapunzel isn’t terrified. She’s naive but plucky, and handy with a frying pan which she uses to knock out an intruder.

The man who dares to climb up her tower is Flynn Rider, a handsome rogue and thief on the run from the law. When he comes under attack from her, Flynn manages to charm Rapunzel and agrees to help her escape, as she wants to see the hundreds of lanterns released every year on her birthday.

1. Carl and Ellie – UP (2009)
The message of the film is that the real adventure of life is the relationship we have with other people, and it’s so easy to lose sight of the things we have and the people that are around us until they’re gone. More often than not, I don’t really realize how lucky I was to have known someone until they’re either moved or passed away.
